On the weekend before each year’s convention, NOCERCC hosts
newly-appointed continuing clergy formation directors and
committee members for an orientation workshop. Participants
consider the US bishops’ Basic
Plan for the Ongoing Formation of Priests and its
implications for program development and management within a
diverse presbyterate. The workshop also explores ministry
formation strategies and adult learning styles and offers an
opportunity to meet and talk with NOCERCC’s elected leaders and
National Office staff about the organization and its many
resources.
Dr. Mary Ann Boyarski (pictured), director of the Office for Continuing Education of
Priests in the Diocese of Harrisburg, directs this workshop, in
collaboration with additional faculty.
